About Us

The mission of Leaders Without Limits of NJ (LWL) is to fight hunger and improve the lives of families by engaging, educating and empowering our community. While our core work is food distribution, our efforts extend far beyond that. 

History of “Leaders”

Leaders Without Limits of NJ (LWL) was formed on October 2nd, 2012 as a not for profit corporation and is registered as such in the State of New Jersey. LWL started out with five children. Over the years the program has grown through word of mouth. To date, we have serviced over 75 children that have gone through our programs. Due to space limitations, we are unable to service the amount of children that we would like.

The main purpose of the organization is to provide community base, educational and mentoring services. LWL is located at 63 Martin Luther King Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305. We started as a home-based service provider running summer youth programs out of the founder’s home. All programs to-date have been largely funded by the founder.

Restated Purpose

In October of 2018, we expanded our services to focus more on the greater needs of the community around hunger, clothing, special needs, etc. As a result, we started a "Feed the Community Program" geared towards weekly food distribution on Fridays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm excluding the first week of every month. Throughout the year we also offer many other free services, such as coat/clothing drives, toy distribution, prepared hot meals, children's events and other community events year round. 

In June of 2019, we have been fortunate to add Saturday distribution of produce from 9:30 am until 11:30 am at 63 Martin Luther King Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305.
